Prevalence of pruritus associated with diabetes ranges between 18.4–27.5% [14]. Other authors state it is present in about 36% of subjects, causing significant impairment to quality of life [15].

DIABDERMIX® Soothing Cream contains an antioxidant, natural SOD, a patented vegetal active ingredient extracted from green tomato. Tested in a clinical trial, SOD has demonstrated antipruritic effect measured by use of the cutaneous thermal sensitivity analyser [16].
